General & concept

SymmetryX Technologies turns the ceiling into infrastructure: every ceiling point — where a light bulb sits today — becomes an intelligent platform for light, connectivity and sensing. The system is called MagnaX-World; the intelligent product is the lamp, the socket becomes magnetic.

A MagnaX lamp is a full infrastructure node in the format of a light bulb: light, WiFi mesh and sensing in one luminaire — scalable from a single room to an industrial hall, instead of an isolated solution.

Yes, without signing up: the 3D room designer and the demo apps "X-Home App" and "X-Industries control center" are linked live on the website.

Technology & safety

Three layers: on top the replaceable light part, in the middle the intelligence (WiFi mesh & sensing, optional camera), at the bottom the magnetic MagnaX-Lock base with two gold contacts. Only the light part on top is user-replaceable.

Yes — touch-safe: current only flows when the connection is complete. The flat, self-centring magnetic contacts transfer power with low loss and stay firmly seated.

MagnaX-Lock (connection & power), MagnaX-Mesh (network) and MagnaX-Sense (sensing) — usable individually, combinable and scalable.

The technical details are currently concept- and design-oriented, not certified. The path to CE certification is part of the roadmap (see timeline).

MagnaX-Home

For homes, hotels and offices & business — retrofittable into existing E27/GU10 sockets via a MagnaX-Lock adapter, without any structural work.

Better WiFi coverage, presence-based light and sensing — expandable step by step, controlled via the MagnaX Home app. Comfort, energy efficiency and connectivity from a single source.

No — the lamp swap is magnetic and tool-free. For high ceilings there is the MagnaX Pole changing aid (up to 4 m).

MagnaX-Industries

The industrial luminaire as infrastructure: lighting, power, ceiling-based mesh network and sensing in one ceiling-mounted element — managed via the control center (MagnaX-Desktop).

Every light point becomes a navigation and reference point for autonomous systems and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) — ceiling-based mesh instead of floor installation.

Yes — via the contact form (topic "Pilot project"). First pilot installations are planned from 2028.

Installation & retrofit

A MagnaX-Lock adapter brings the magnetic connection into existing E27 and GU10 sockets — no new wiring and no structural work (Phase A: retrofit).

Retrofit for E27 and GU10, plus replacement for fluorescent tubes; for industry, the High-Bay format. Worldwide there are around 15 billion existing E27/GU10 sockets as a retrofit lever.

Privacy & data

Privacy by design: sensor data is captured and pre-processed locally, with minimal data collection.

The camera is optional (MagnaX Cam). In privacy mode, stream and recording are blocked in hardware; the WiFi password stays local on the device.

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR; the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. Details in the privacy policy.

Timeline & availability

The CE path is scheduled for 2027; first pilot installations in real buildings are planned from 2028.

In Fuerteventura (Costa Calma), the Symmetry Campus for development and manufacturing is taking shape from 2028 → 2030 — step by step, in step with the growth phases. Images are concept visualizations.

A regular sales launch has not yet been announced; the path runs via CE certification (2027) and pilot installations (from 2028). For pilot projects, please use the contact form.
